The Committee received the proposed Work Plan for 2014/15.

 

It was noted that the report on the use of bus lanes would be allocated to a specific meeting, once information on a possible trial had been received from Essex County Council.

 

            RESOLVED that the report is noted.

Following the implementation of the Scrap Metal Dealers Act, the Committee received a report on a proposed enforcement protocol.

 

RESOLVED that it is Recommended to Cabinet that the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 Enforcement Protocol, attached at Appendix 1 of the report, be adopted.

Vehicle Age Condition for Hackney Carriage Issues pdf icon PDF 164 KB

Minutes:

The Committee received a report proposing the deletion of the existing Hackney Carriage vehicle licence condition which stipulated that new licensees had to replace their existing vehicles, with new ones, once they were 12 years old.

 

RESOLVED that it is Recommended to Cabinet that the existing policy requiring certain licensees to replace their vehicles with completely new ones, once their existing Hackney Carriage vehicles have reached 12 years old, be discontinued.

The Committee received a report proposing the revision of Hackney Carriage tariffs by increasing the initial fare of each rate by 20p.

 

RESOLVED that it is Recommended to Cabinet that the Hackney Carriage Tariff schedule, attached as Appendix A of the report, be adopted.
