To appoint a Chair for this meeting.

RESOLVED that Councillor Andrew Johnson is elected to chair this hearing.

Exclusion of Press and Public

The Chair will move that the following items be taken in private session on the grounds that they are likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as specified under Paragraph 1 of Part One of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, if and so long as in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing information.

Determination for a Grant of a Private Hire Driver Licence - Applicant A

The Sub-Committee received a report on an application for a private hire driver’s licence. 

 

Members of the Sub-Committee considered the application to determine the case in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.

 

Having carefully considered all the evidence presented by the Licensing Officer, the applicant and his witness it was:

 

RESOLVED that the applicant is not deemed to be a ‘fit and proper’ person and is therefore not permitted to continue with the application for a private hire driver’s licence.
