Decision:

RESOLVED that the Chief Operating Officer in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Environment approves the extension of the contract for collection of residual domestic waste and recycling with Veolia ES (UK) Plc (VES) for two years, from 29 June 2016 to 29 June 2018, on the basis set out in the confidential report submitted.

Reasons for the decision:

A     The Council must make suitable arrangements for collection of domestic waste and recycling.

 

B    At its meeting on 26 March 2015, Cabinet delegated authority to the Chief Operating Officer, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Environment, to negotiate and conclude formal arrangements to effect the extension of the Council’s current contract.
