The Licensing Committee Recommended to Full Council that:
A The adoption of proposals at paragraphs 7 and 8 of the report, to waive any Street Trading Licence fee in the case groups of traders taking part in a licensable event with a primarily non-commercial nature that has sufficient benefit to the community to warrant Council support.

Full Council received a report which asked that Street Trading Licence fee be waived for events with a primarily non-commercial nature.
Proposed by Councillor Emma Toal and Seconded by Councillor Lanie Shears.
RESOLVED that the recommendation below is approved:

Minutes:
The Committee received a report proposing that the street trading licence fee should be waived for events of a non-commercial nature which, in the eyes of the Council, had a benefit to the community.
The Committee noted the ‘Governance Implications’ in particular which said that the Council would need to ensure that a procedure was put in place to allow the proposals to be fairly considered on a case by case basis.
RECOMMENDED to COUNCIL that the proposals at paragraphs 7 and 8 of the report be adopted, to waive any Street Trading Licence fee in the case of groups of traders taking part in a licensable event with a primary non-commercial nature that has sufficient benefit to the community to warrant Council support.
