Licensing Committee recommend to Full Council the adoption of the Gambling Licensing Policy Statement for the purposes of the Gambling Act 2005 as proposed in the body of the report and attached as Appendix A to the report.

RESOLVED that the Gambling Licensing Policy Statement for the purposes of the Gambling Act 2005 as proposed in the body of the report, and attached as Appendix A to the report be adopted.

Referral from Licensing Committee - Department for Transport Standards - Review of Taxi/Private Hire Driver Licence Duration pdf icon PDF 151 KB

Licensing Committee recommend to Full Council that the licensing process for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire drivers continue to permit 1-year and 3-year licence applications.

 

 

Minutes:

Full Council received a referral from the Licensing Committee on the duration of private hire/hackney carriage driver’s licenses.

 

Proposed by Councillor Nick Churchill (seconded by Councillor Andrew Johnson) it was:

 

RESOLVED that the licensing process for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire drivers continue to permit 1-year and 3-year licence applications.

The Chair noted that Councillors Mike Danvers, Eugenie Harvey and Shona Johnson were not standing for re-election. He thanked them for their hard work during their time as Councillors and wished them every success in the future.
