Determination of Application for a Private Hire Driver Licence Additional documents:
Minutes: The Sub-Committee received a report on an application for a private hire driver’s licence.
Members of the Sub-Committee considered the application to determine the case in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.
Having carefully considered all the evidence presented by the Licensing Officer, the applicant and the applicant’s character witness, it was:
RESOLVED that the applicant is deemed to be a ‘fit and proper’ person and is therefore permitted to continue with the application for a private hire driver’s licence, which would be subject to the condition that he makes himself available for a random drugs test as arranged by the Licensing Team; and paid for by the licence-holder.
