RESOLVED that Councillor Nick Churchill is elected as Chair of the meeting.

Councillors’ declarations of interest (if any) in relation to any items on the agenda.

None.

The Chair will move that the following item be taken in private session on the grounds that it is likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as specified under Paragraph 1 of Part One of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, if and so long as in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing information.

Paragraph 1: Information relating to any individual.

RESOLVED that the following item is taken in private session on the grounds that it is likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as specified under Paragraph 1 of Part One of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, if and so long as in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing information.

            RESOLVED that the procedure for the meeting is noted.

The Sub-Committee received a report on a review of a private hire driver’s licence.

Members of the Sub-Committee only considered that part of the report pertaining to the driver’s adherence to the Private Hire Driver Licensing Standard Conditions, to determine the case in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.

Having considered the evidence presented by the officer from the Licensing Team, the applicant and the applicant’s legal representative it was:

RESOLVED that, in order to emphasise the importance of complying with the Private Hire Driver Standard Conditions, an advice letter be provided together with a copy of the Conditions.
