Cabinet, 2025
The council is required to keep a list of important (‘Key’) upcoming decisions being made by its Executive. These decisions can be taken by Portfolio Holders, the Cabinet as a whole, or the council’s Officers.
The council defines a Key Decision as a decision that is likely to:
a) result in the council incurring expenditure or making savings of more than £500,000; or
b) be significant in its effects on communities living or working in two or more wards within the council’s area.
The council publishes these decisions in the Leader’s Register. The council also aims to publish all decisions due to be taken by Cabinet in the Register, even if they are not Key Decisions.
More details about the requirements around Key Decisions can be found at the start of each Leader’s Register.
