Appointment of Chair

To appoint a Chair for this meeting.

RESOLVED that Councillor John Strachan is elected to chair this hearing.

Exclusion of Press and Public

The Chair will move that the following item be taken in private session on the grounds that it is likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as specified under Paragraph 1 of Part One of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, if and so long as in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing information.

Determination of a Private Hire Operator Licence - Applicant A

Minutes:

The applicant surrendered their licences, therefore, the matter was not heard by the Sub Committee.

Determination of Application for a Private Hire Driver Licence - Applicant B

Minutes:

The Sub Committee received a report for an application for a private hire driver licence.

 

Members of the Sub Committee considered the application to determine the case in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.

 

Having carefully considered all of the evidence presented by the Licensing Officer and the applicant via an interpreter it was:

 

RESOLVED that the applicant is not deemed to be a ‘fit and proper’ person and will therefore not be permitted to continue with the application for a private hire driver licence.
