RESOLVED that Councillor Frances Mason is elected to chair this hearing.

Councillors’ declarations of interest (if any) in relation to any items on the agenda.

The Chair will move that the following item be taken in private session on the grounds that it is likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as specified under Paragraph 1 of Part One of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, if and so long as in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing information.

Paragraph 1: Information relating to any individual.

RESOLVED that the following items be taken in private session on the grounds that they are likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as specified under Paragraph 1 of Part One of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, if and so long as in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing information.

RESOLVED that the procedure for the meeting is noted.

The Sub Committee received a report for applications for Private Hire and Hackney Carriage driver licences.

Members of the Sub Committee considered the application to determine the case in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.

Having carefully considered all of the evidence presented by the Licensing Officer, the applicant and the applicant’s representative it was:

RESOLVED that the applicant is deemed to be a ‘fit and proper’ person and will therefore by permitted to continue with the applications for private hire and hackney carriage driver licences.
