To appoint a Chair for this meeting.

RESOLVED that Councillor Frances Mason was elected as Chair for the meeting.

The Chair will move that the following item be taken in private session on the grounds that it is likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as specified under Paragraph 1 of Part One of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, if and so long as in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing information.

Determination of Application for Hackney Carriage Driver Licence

Minutes:

The Sub Committee received a report on an application for a hackney carriage driver’s licence.

 

The Sub Committee considered the report in light of the Institute of Licensing’s guidance to determine the case in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.

 

Having considered the evidence presented by Officers from the Licensing Team and the applicant it was:

 

RESOLVED that the applicant is deemed to be a ‘fit and proper’ person and is therefore permitted to continue with the application process for a hackney carriage driver’s licence.
