To appoint a Chair for this meeting.

RESOLVED that Councillor Shannon Jezzard was elected as Chair for the meeting.

Councillors’ declarations of interest (if any) in relation to any items on the

agenda.

None.

The Chair will move that the following item be taken in private session on

the grounds that it is likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information

as specified under Paragraph 1 of Part One of Schedule 12A of the Local

Government Act 1972, if and so long as in all the circumstances of the

case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the

public interest in disclosing information.

Paragraph 1: Information relating to any individual.

RESOLVED that the following items be taken in private session on the grounds that they are likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information as specified under Paragraph 1 of Part One of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, if and so long as in all the circumstances of the case, the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing information.

RESOLVED that the procedure for the meeting was noted.

The Sub Committee received a report on the application for a Private Hire Drivers Licence.

Members of the Sub Committee considered the application in light of the Institute of Licensing’s guidance to determine the case in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976.

Having carefully considered the evidence presented by the Licensing Officer, the applicant and the applicant’s representative it was:

RESOLVED that the applicant is not deemed to be a ‘fit and proper’ person and will therefore not be permitted to continue with the application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence.
